Access management: who holds which access, and when it was removed.
A register of the systems, accounts, door cards and keys each employee, contractor, client or supplier holds. User registration and de-registration, access reviews and the removal of access rights on exit, each recorded with the date and the person who recorded it.
User access management, start to finish.
Four steps, each dated and attributed, from the first request to the last removal.
Request
Who asked for which access, for whom, and when.
Grant
The access recorded against the person or company, with the date and the owner of the system.
Review
Periodic access reviews: keep, change or remove, with the reviewer and the date.
Removal
Removal requested on exit, then recorded with the time it was done and who recorded it.
Access management, control by control.
- 01User registration and de-registration
Every grant and every removal is an explicit, dated step with the person who recorded it, for individual and shared accounts alike.
- 02Review of user access rights
Review each grant: keep, change, remove or look into it. The outcome, the reviewer and the next review date are recorded, so the next review starts from the last one.
- 03Removal of access rights
When someone leaves, their record lists every access they still hold, and each removal can be a task in their exit clearance that closes only when the removal is recorded.
- 04An up-to-date inventory of access granted
Systems, accounts, cards and keys, who holds each and since when, across employees, contractors, clients and suppliers.
- 05Shared accounts
One account, several holders, each with their own grant. When one of them leaves, the password change it calls for stays open until it is recorded.
- 06Ownership of each system
Each system has an owner who answers for its access; owner changes are recorded like everything else.
A register, not a connection to your systems.
ValiCrew never signs in to your other systems and never switches off, revokes or resets anything itself. It shows what is left to remove, and keeps the record that it was removed: when, and who recorded it.
Access management questions.
What is a user access review?
A periodic check that everyone holding access to a system should still hold it, at the right level. Each grant is kept, changed or removed, and the outcome is recorded with the reviewer and the date.
How do we remove access when an employee leaves?
Their record lists every system, card and key they still hold, and each removal can be a task in their exit clearance. Whoever removes the access in that system records it in ValiCrew with the time, and the task closes only then, so the clearance shows anything left open.
Can suppliers and clients be in the access register?
Yes. Access can be recorded against a supplier or a client, down to the named contact who uses it, and an ended relationship with access still open is flagged.
Does ValiCrew store passwords?
No. It records who holds which access and when it changed. Passwords and secrets stay in your own systems.
