People search: software shaped by its users
The app our users are building with us
Our experience covers our corner of the field, and yours covers yours. So we put the roadmap inside the product: suggest what would help you most, vote on what others proposed, and watch ValiCrew grow into something common.
We built ValiCrew out of our own scars: the expiry chases, the roster gaps, the audit weeks. But our experience covers our corner of the field and nobody else's. A cleaning company, a clinic and a transport operator all feel different pains first, and a roadmap written only from our corner would slowly turn this into software for us alone.
The nine-in-the-evening questions taught us the same lesson from the other side. A coordinator halfway through a roster would hit a rough edge, we would send back a screenshot with arrows drawn on it, and by morning the detail was gone. The people doing the work kept discovering things worth building, and the knowledge kept evaporating in chat threads.
So we did both things at once: we moved help into the app, next to the work, and we handed the roadmap to the people using it. If the app is going to actually help companies, the companies have to be able to say what helps.
If it has already happened
-
Record the screen instead of describing it. A ten-second recording carries what three paragraphs of chat cannot, and it needs no arrows.
-
Suggest the feature instead of keeping the workaround. The workaround costs you time every week. The suggestion costs one minute once, and it might cost nothing forever after.
-
Vote on what others proposed. A vote takes seconds and tells the builders what the field actually needs next, weighted by the people who feel it.
-
Check what changed before asking. Half of "where did the button go" questions are answered by release notes that are one click away.
What the fix looks like
Help had to live where the work happens: short demo videos, release notes and a way to talk back, one click from any screen. And the roadmap had to sit right beside it: say what would help you most, see what others asked for, vote it up, and watch it arrive.
How we solved it in ValiCrew
ValiCrew has a helpcenter on every page: watch a short demo, read what is new, send feedback or record your screen to show exactly what you mean, without a ticket form anywhere. Beside it sits the suggestion board, shared by everyone using ValiCrew, where you propose what matters most to you and the community votes. What helps the most companies gets built next, so the app keeps evolving into something common, owned a little by everyone who uses it.
ValiCrew watches these dates so nobody has to.
